My favourite scene is when Mika and Hiro were at the river and he said to her that he wants to be the sky so that he could find Mika wherever she is and if anyone bullies her he will fly over immediately and beat them up which explains the title. The insert song, Heavenly Days by Aragaki Yui, fits quite well in the movie too. I just love the shades of colours of the sky. ![]() And the scenery shots are gorgeous, especially at the river. The transition between different scenes was smooth too and did not leave me lost at any point of time. ![]() The basic plot of the movie may be simple and 2 hours may seem too long, but I like the pace of it as it took time to develop Mika and Hiro’s love story. Aragaki Yui does a great job portraying Mika as the girl next door and I think she deserved to win the Best New Talent award at the 2007 Nikan Sports Film Awards. Their love is one of innocence filled with both joy and pain. Adapted from a cell phone short story in Japan which was later published as a novel, Koizora follows Mika (Aragaki Yui) as she goes through thick and thin to be with her boyfriend, Hiro (Miura Haruma).
